Regional Sales Manager - Midwest Region
SUMMARY: The Regional Sales Manager contributes to the profitability of the company and its brands by maximizing sales within an assigned region; assures responsive service to customers to promote development of long-term business opportunities; and represents the company in an aggressive, progressive, and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1) Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to promote products &
programs, build buy / sell relationships, prepare business proposals, build brand preference in the market, prospect for new opportunities, solicit orders, and facilitate a functional distribution network. 2) Provides service and support after the sale; to include fieldwork, training and new product installations. 3) Monitors and reports change in business trends, opportunities, and competition, within the region. 4) Maintains complete and timely records of regional sales activities, expense and service related activities, keep pertinent information in Link CRM system, provide call reports to manager on a timely basis. 5) Participates in Trade Shows, OEM meetings, and other functions when requested. 6) Coordinates with and supports Customer Service Activities when in the office; participates in continuous improvement programs; product planning meetings; marketing projects; etc. as required. 7) Performs other duties as requested by Sales and Marketing Management.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Average travel estimated at 50%.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. An individual must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle. The Regional Sales Manager must be willing and able to work and travel evenings and weekends, as required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor´s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or previous work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
